A family member of César Chávez has asked RFK Jr. to stop using his image in his campaign.

Kennedy Sr., a Democratic presidential candidate, supported the farm labor movement's nonviolent tactics, including a multiyear California grape strike. His alliance with Chavez helped the Democratic Party support farmworkers' labor rights. Kennedy was killed in 1968.
